AIM for Achievement: Tools for Tier 1 of RtI Implementation
Presenter: Cynthia Curry, MLTI
Tier 1 of Response to Intervention (RtI) refers to core instructional practices that meet the needs and preferences of the widest possible number of learners, without the need for accommodation to the curriculum.

Schools are striving to implement meaningful and effective Response to Intervention (RtI) plans. As a tiered approach to support student achievement and prevent failure through evidence-based practices, teaching and learning technologies must be appropriately purposed. In this session, Accessible Instructional Materials (AIM) for students who have difficulty with accessing printed text will be demonstrated and purposed as tools for Tier 1 (core instruction for all students). Products and tutorials released in 2010 by the Center for Applied Special Technology (CAST) will be featured.
