Serious Gaming
Presenters: Ed Latham and Olga LaPlante, eMints
Using interactive games and simulations allows to expand the classroom. We will look at and experience games and simulations that relate to social issues, that will go beyond your personal growth, that will give you ways to contribute to or start your own initiatives for social change.

Your administrators have finally conceded that games may have educational value, BUT they are not totally convinced yet. Many school leaders have developed a set of questions they need addressed. In this session, we'll play some selected games and provide answers that will help everyone formulate an effective argument that will address potential concerns and needs while opening the door to Edutainment in school. Be part of the solution! Join students and teachers from all over the state in creating the argument for the merits of using games for instruction. Applies to all subject areas.
